In it’s 3rd consecutive year, the WV Symphony Orchestra (registered 501(c)3 non-profit) is seeking a site for its Paddles & Preludes Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser. The event is an evening of pickleball play – round robin style – which provides funds for our educational program, Kanawha County String Education Program. This program is offered free of charge in Kanawha County schools introducing students grades 4-12 to string instruments. Lessons are offered completely free of charge during the school day with the option to rent a bass, cello, viola, or violin for free or reduced prices during the year. The Symphony is pleased to work with Kanawha County Schools to supplement music instruction to hundreds of students every year.

The tournament is a simple evening event which would begin at 4pm with registration, free play from 4:30-5:00pm, and official tournament play from 5:00-7:00pm. Awards would commence shortly after 7:00pm and conclude around 7:30pm. Players receive goodie bags and awards are named for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall places in men’s and women’s categories (round robin style play elliminates age categories and doubles play).

Space is needed beyond the courts for registration, silent auction items, and food/beverages. 1 table per need is adequate.
